Palau ID has become the go-to e-residency for people who want mobility in a world that is becoming more restrictive each year.
Many users have shared succesful stories of using Palau ID to open up crypto exchange accounts like Bybit and Kucoin and even neobank accounts such Kast and UltimoPay. Many have also reported succesfully using Palau ID to register for events, hotels etc.
But since Palau ID does not yet offer a physical address and phone number in Palau, many services unfortunately are not available for full utilization. The roadmap promises more utility is coming.

While Estonia focuses on helping entrepreneurs set up EU companies in Estonia, Palau mostly focuses on crypto traders and investors.
Bayase.com made a thorough 2025 review of Palau ID here. Their concusion was “if your goal is to open a traditional bank account or pass a KYC check on a major crypto exchange, Palau ID is not the right choice for you.”
