When you have a Palau e-residency, you can choose which services your register with your local ID card and which services you register with your Palau e-residency ID.

Which Digital Platforms Accept Palau ID?

There is no official up-to-date list of services that accept Palau ID because it keeps changing week-to-week and each platform have their own KYC requirements. However, the rule of thumb is to apply with Palau ID first and most times you will be approved because Palau ID is a fully regulated and legal form of identity verification.

Many people use Palau ID to register for crypto exchanges such as Binance or Kucoin, offshore bank accounts, stock trading platforms, betting websites, social media and other global platforms that require a Know Your Customer (KYC) check.

You can sign up to Palau ID from anywhere without needing to visit Palau. The application and use of the Palau Digital ID are designed for remote access, meaning individuals can apply and manage their identity credentials online without needing to be physically present.

0% Tax For Income Outside Palau

The government of Palau will never charge taxes for your income or capital gains as long as the source of your income is originated outside Palau.

As an e-resident, you are able send and receive money through any service that approves your account. This can be helpful for digital nomads, global entrepreneurs and perhaps individuals living in high tax countries who want the ease of the e-residency without the headache of additional taxation.

This however does not leviate you from your local tax requirements. You must always follow local taxation laws.

Physical Address and Palau Phone Number?

Unfortunately these services are not yet available.

But both, a physical address and a Palau phone number, are included in the roadmap for the Palau ID provider, Root Name System (RNS).

This means in the future you would be able to own a mailing address in Palau without you needing to be present there and you would be able to hold a local phone number as well, for extra charge.
